Appearances

gina and matt, gina triplett

Gina and Matt love sharing their art and books with young folks and used-to-be-young folks. They’ve done hands on workshops and front of the room lectures at ICON / The Illustration Conference, AIGA, Creative Mornings, and a number of colleges and universities.

Lately, they’re excited about their new children’s book, Before the Seed, and would love to share it with your school, book shop, or event. If you’re into it, there’s more info below on how we can make it happen.

Before the Seed Visits

For elementary audiences, Gina and Matt present for 30 minutes where they:

·      read Before the Seed

·      share their story of being young artists and nature lovers who became grown up artists who depict nature as their job.

·      demonstrate their process of using drawing to explore, understand, and communicate biological subjects like flowers and animals.

We can adapt this for smaller classroom audiences or for larger auditorium size groups.

We can do up to 3 presentations a visit with a short break in between each.

This book is on pollinators and pollination, and the varied roles they play in familiar and unfamiliar ecosystems. With that in mind, it easily ties to curriculum, and the book’s author, Susannah Burhman-Deever has a great set of educator’s resources on her site here.

Books are available at a discount for speaking events or book signings. Just let us know and we’ll put you in touch with the fine folks at Candlewick / MIT Kids.

You can reach out to us here if you’d like to schedule a visit!
